A big hit March 10, 2010 Spud Spudly (NYC, USA) I have a four-year-old who's fascinated by all things related to space, planets, stars, etc. And he loves his new moon. It's sufficiently bright and easy to hang up and use. It cycles through the moon phases and turns itself off after 30 minutes of inactivity. It really does look like the moon. And it took my kid around ten seconds to figure out the remote control, which works from all angles and from across a typical kid's room. It's not a precision optical device but it works fine for what it is. Requires 4 AA and 2 AAA batteries.
uh...amazing! March 2, 2010 Kevin E. Lawrence (Missouri City, TX USA) I've bought 100 things on amazon, or more. The last time I gave a 5 star was in 1998. my 3 year old talks about this thing daily, and it was one of the best investments I've ever made. Buy this, and you will be so glad you did.
Great for any child interested in the sky February 28, 2010 Bummytime This Moon works great, it goes through all the phases and sparks discussions on the sky, the moons cycles, etc. My son loves it.
Very cool, even I learned the phases! February 25, 2010 K. Chavez (Mass) Two girls 3 and 4 love the moon, thought this would be educational and indeed it is! We have all enjoyed it and they were interested in it so much that we now look everyday to check that we have the right phase, and even I have learned the phases. Very cool!
Great for space-crazy kid February 24, 2010 Trevor Johnson (St. Louis) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Looks like real moonlight, good for night lite as it turns off on it's own. My boys love the remote and I like the moon up on the wall where they can't touch it.
